The Protective Money Management Program helps older people with limited income who are having difficulty paying their bills or managing their money.  The program is sponsored by the AARP, which insures funds in the client's bank account up to $35,000.

Clients may be referred by friends, family members, a case worker or other outside agency such as a bank or the local Social Security office.  Clients must meet AARP and Social Security income and asset guidelines in order to qualify.

As the Organizational Representative Payee for the client, we carefully select, screen, train and monitor our volunteers.  Once approved, each volunteer is paired with a client needing assistance in managing their financial affairs.  The volunteer takes over the money management and bill-paying responsibilities for the client according to procedures laid out by the RRCSB, and the Social Security Administration's "A Guide for Representative Payees
