RRCSB Prevention Services provide an array of services that promote healthy behaviors and lifestyles for youth development. The program addresses protective factors and major risk factors such as the dangers of a substance use disorder or teen suicide and other behavioral health concerns. The philosophy is to work with community prevention groups to develop plans to decrease problems and create a healthier environment to raise our families.
Programs:
QPR Training: This training for adults teaches 3 basic interventions skills that can help prevent the tragedy of suicide.
Signs of Suicide (SOS): SOS is an evidence-based program that helps teens understand how not to keep deadly secrets and encourages students to consult with a school professional if they are concerned about themselves or a friend.
Summer Prevention Camp: Camp is designed to work with children of alcoholics and other substance addictions.
School groups: These groups are designed specifically for the school populations.
